Elegant Kiwi Homes led the Build for Good – Hato Hone St John Charity Home in Halswell, bringing together local trades, suppliers and businesses to build a new family home, with the profits from its sale supporting the lifesaving work of Hato Hone St John.
The initiative received national and local media coverage, including NZ Herald and Star News, highlighting the collective effort of around 30 businesses that came together behind the project.

The cost of building depends on the size and complexity of the home, site conditions, materials, specifications and level of finish. Rather than relying on a generic square-metre rate, we prefer to understand what you’re actually looking to build so we can provide more meaningful guidance.
Can Elegant Kiwi Homes design my house?
Yes. We offer a complete design and build service in Christchurch and can work with you from your initial ideas through design, pricing, consenting and construction.
Can you build from my existing plans?
Absolutely. If you already have plans, send them through and we’ll review them with you. We can also work from ideas or inspiration you’ve collected and develop a design suitable for your particular site.
Do you offer fixed-price building contracts?
Yes. We believe in giving clients as much certainty as possible before construction begins, with clear specifications and fixed-price contracts for the agreed scope of work.
Do your homes come with a building warranty?
Eligible new homes can be protected by a 10-Year Building Warranty, providing additional peace of mind beyond completion of the build.
